Sant Baba Sunder Singh Ji Canadian, a Saint and a Philanthropist devoted his life for the moral and spiritual upliftment of masses. During his sojourn in Canada, rendered yeoman services to the Indian community in general and Sikh community in Particular. He was one of the survivor of KAMA-GATA-MARU ship.
The torch lit by Sunder Singh Ji, was passed to the Sant Baba Lal Singh Ji Barrkat, who continued his mission with missionary zeal and whole hearted devotion.
Presently the mission is being headed by Sant Baba Karnail Singh Ji, a visionary and far sighted saint. Foreseeing the challenges of modern age, the need to provide quality and spiritual education to the Younger generation was felt by him. These ideas took concrete shape under the guidance of Sant Iqbal Singh Ji, successor of Sant Teja Singh Ji. MA, LLB(Pb), AM(Harvard USA).
Sant Baba Sunder Singh Canadian, Akal Academy Tallewal was established on 1st Apr. 1996 in the scared memory of Sant Ji and is run by Sant Baba Sunder Singh Ji Charitable Trust Tallewal, Teh. Tapa, Distt. Barnala.
The academy complex spreads over 7 acres of land in a pollution free environment, in the lap nature, on the bank of Bathinda Branch of Sirhand Canal.
The Institution provides quality education by incorporating latest trends and methods of teaching, catering for all around development of the child fully prepared to enter 21st Century.
